ORIOLE BASEBALL

I love basball and today I went to the first game of the new season. There has been so much negative on air talk about the team this year. So many young players and not too many fans of the owner in Baltimore, but I had a great time. Spring always brings possibilities and chances for a good season. I have decided to take each baseball day as it comes. I am going to enjoy each game for the little joys it can give--the double play, the home run, the bloopers.

The Birds today won it in the ninth. Very dramatic. The fans really got into it. Go Hernandez!

Go O's!

I remember a lot of trips to Memorial Stadium and a few to Camden Yards. Now a Cleveland Indians rooter since they are the local team - still a soft spot for the O's, though, and I am sure I share with you a healthy hatred for the Yankees!

I've never been to a "real" baseball game before... unless you count my son's peanut league games. Looks like a good time.

Ben, I will agree with you that my displeasure with the Yankees never dims. I have been to your Cleveland stadium. It is beautiful and very similar to Camden Yards. We actually saw the Yankees play the Indian there. It was wonderful routing against them.

Jessica, If you come to Baltimore Margaret and I could take you. It really is something to see. Although I admit I had just as much fun watching my kids at their games. Too bad they are all grown up. I will have to wait for grandkids.
