WELCOME TO WEIRD OBJECT FRIDAY

It is almost that time of year. Old as it is, I never found another that works better.
I actually have two and they come in very useful.
Any guesses???

it must be a sieve used for some type food?

Yeah, it looks like a sifter where you use the wooden thing like a mortar and pestle deal to smash out the lumps. That's all I've got.

Rick said he remembers that and I think I do, also! Wasn't it your mothers??? I believe her sieve had a handle not legs so maybe you found it on one of your Saturday outings!

Do you mush our tomatoes in it for sauce?

Neat!!! Love old finds from the past! PS: Rick said he remembers the mortar, also.

It is multipurpose. The best use was for applesauce. You do put in the apples, just cooked softly, and mash them through like a mortar and pestle. So everyone is correct. But we multitasked. It is also the best pasta strainer around.
